German Throwdown Events 19/20

We are happy to announce two German Throwdown events per year: the CrossFit German Throwdown and the German Throwdown Classic.

The CrossFit German Throwdown will be the sanctioned event for Germany and the DACH region in general. With this competition the best in the world have the chance to earn an invite to the CrossFit Games. The CrossFit German Throwdown will take place on the last weekend of march 2020. The exact location is yet to be determined.

The focus of the CrossFit GTD will be on the Elite Male, Elite Female and Elite Team divisions. No other division will start on that weekend.

The German Throwdown Classic is and always will be the Elite Fitness Competition for the Community. In its sixth year it will be held once again in Mainz, Germany in the Halle 45.

Elite Male, Elite Female and Elite Team will still start at the Classic, but as in previous and always in the future age groups (Teens, Masters) and less demanding divisions (Intermediate, Intermediate Teens) will have their spot on the competition floor surrounded by thousands of spectators.

Both events will coexist over the next years. The GTD Classic will take place in the Fall while the CrossFit GTD will be placed in the Spring leading up to the CrossFit Games.
